It’s a bit past Valentine’s day, but it is still February and I am ready to write. These were my thoughts earlier this month. Take the time to listen to the songs! Then, scroll down for my big announcement.
My first Valentine’s Day without my husband of over 50 years. Who knew when we first kissed on that apartment balcony the amazing journey we were beginning? I will always love you. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=CJVn0hpBVuE
My friends and family. Over the years you’ve been there for me through the highs and lows. I could not have made it without you. I love you all to the stars and beyond. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=2DorNUsi5LE
For those special others, you played a part of my life that will live forever in memories. I don’t have to name names, you know who you are. I learned from each of you. I loved each of you in your time and always will. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ekknwl5Luz4
And finally, the ultimate love gift of all, the love of God. It goes beyond all other. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=97w-I87urvo
And now . . .
You all know how much I love the summer season and the beautiful beach in Florida where our family has vacationed for over 50 years. Last summer our family committed both Joe’s and Jay’s remains to the ocean at Flagler Beach and now, at some point this spring it will become my permanent home! Of course I’ll be back to Georgia to visit friends and family often, and I know they will come to visit me in sunny, warm, Florida beside the sea. In my heart I will forever remain “GeorgiaJanet.” Here is a glimpse of my new home.
Do you have a song that represents love for you? Do you have a special place you’ve always dreamed of living or a place that will always be home no matter where you are? Share your thoughts in a comment below.

Thanks Jim and K. I love your song. The sound reminds me of the duo from the sixties, Chad and Jeremy. Thankyou for sharing.
Always enjoy reading your blog Janet. With your move to Flagler Beach, I hope you find the happiness you well deserve. Looking forward to visiting with you there in the near future.
Thankyou Dave. I definitely expect you and John as my guests!
Congratulations, Janet! I will miss getting together with you and other friends from our high school years still living in the area from time to time, but I am really happy for you making your dream of living at Flagler Beach a reality. As always, you are an inspiration, my friend.
Thank you Carolyn. We can still get together- y’all come on down!
Congratualtions on moving into the next chapter. I wish you only happiness. Marlene
